Loki X Reader: Parallel 4

        Captain America surveyed the scene around him, wondering how Loki could have just vanished into thin air. No one had seen where he had gone, but some reported that what looked to be his twin brother had vanished along with him, seemingly in a flash of blue light. Damage was minimal due to Loki's swift exit, but several witnesses were in shock by what they had seen. Some swore they had recognized the man's face, and a few even had a name to go with that face. Luke Larson.
        Fury walked over to the good Cap and handed him a manila envelope. "This is everything we found on the Larson fellow. I remembered the name, so I took the liberty of digging this up myself. He worked for SHIELD for a few years, but transferred to Stark Industries when Tony offered him a bigger paycheck. The man's not Stark or Banner, but he's got a bit of intelligence to his name.
        "There's no connection to the 'god of mischief' except for the obvious resemblance. His half-brother, Theo Orson, also bears an uncanny likeness to the 'god of thunder' himself. Now, what are you willing to bet that there's a Steve Rogers walking around Asgard?" the man raised his good eyebrow.
        Steve looked at the pictures of Luke and Theo before shaking his head. "I'm not sure what to think. This is all still so new to me…"
        "Director, this young person was found about three quarters of a mile from here in the street. I took care of her so she will be fine, but she asked for Luke," Bruce Banner approached with you at his side.
        You looked around at the extraordinary men, feeling extraordinarily timid. Fury looked at you expectantly, making you uncomfortable with his intense gaze, so you looked instead at Steve and Bruce, who was now walking away to help someone else. "Y-you know where Luke is?" Your voice came out in a husky whisper. After almost running a mile barefoot and worrying nonstop about Luke, you had collapsed in the street, nearly missing Bruce Banner's car. Your head had heavily landed on the concrete, not enough to do permanent damage, but enough to knock you out.
        "I wish we did. This 'Luke' could lead us straight to Loki," Fury responded. "How do you know Luke?"
        "He's my boyfriend. Can't you find him?"
        "I'm sorry, but these things take time. It may be awhile before we can find him…" Steve looked at you sadly, not enjoying telling you that. Seeing the look of pain on your face, he hurried to continue, "but we'll do everything we can. Trust me. I know it probably doesn't make you feel any better, but I will help you. That's a promise."
        "Thank you, and it helps… a little bit. You do realize that I won't be able to just go home and do nothing, right? I have to do something to help find him."
        "I know how you feel. If someone I love went missing, I wouldn't sit around either."
        "Woah, woah, woah. What are you suggesting, Cap?" Fury held up a hand.
        "That she could help somehow. Not anything major, just some computer work or something. Look, when I got frozen in that block of ice, I'm sure Peggy never stopped looking for me."
        "You're killing me, Cap."
        "And you need me. I say we get this poor person a little job and calm their nerves a little."
        "Fine. You are one hard son-of-a-bitch to deal with," Fury growled.
        "It's a pleasure working with you as well, sir."
         The sound of a police scanner drifted over on the wind. "Anyone in the vicinity, please respond! We have a Loki sighting. I repeat, we have a Loki sighting!"
